Southern Sask has warm, dry December

 

Weather stats for December in southern Saskatchewan show a month that was relatively mild and very dry.

The average mean temperature in Regina last month was minus 10.6 degrees, 1.8 degrees warmer than usual.

Regina had its 39th warmest December in 126 years.

Most centres in southern Saskatchewan were 2 degrees warmer than usual last month.

For precipitation, Regina had 2.3 millimeters, only 15 percent of normal and the 7th driest December in 133 years.

Yorkton had the same amount of moisture as Regina last month, 2.3 millimeters, marking the driest ever December for Yorkton in 83 years of record keeping.
