Regina Police charge 19-year-old after food delivery driver robbed downtown

Regina Police say a 19-year-old man unlawfully at large and wanted on a Canada wide warrant has been charged with robbery after a food delivery driver was robbed Friday night.

The 35-year-old delivery driver was apparently parked on Hamilton Street and Victoria Avenue when the suspect entered his vehicle and demanded items before assaulting him.

After the suspect left the victim called police who located the suspect, who allegedly first gave false information before providing officers his real name.

As a result 19-year-old Kurtis Clayton Thomas has been charged with robbery and identity fraud with intent to avoid arrest.

Thomas made his first court appearance Monday morning.

Police did not say why the man had a Canada wide warrant.
