(Jamie) The Pre-Trip List Has Been Drawn Up

With less than a month to go before our Flea Market trip to Cuba my wife has started making a list of things we need to buy and things we need to take care of before we go. We still have a while, but if we tick an item off the list here and there, we’ll get everything done in good time. I can’t argue with her logic.

This Friday I’ll be able to tick a haircut off my “things I need to do list.” On the shopping front, my pre-trip list is always a lot cheaper than the one my wife draws up. It’s just a matter of grabbing some odds and ends. I don’t need much. Shaving cream, razors, aftershave, and maybe a few other things, but that’ll be it for me. My wife? Well, I know she’ll be picking up a few more items that that, that’s for sure!

Tomorrow night she’s off to get her haircut, which is always a little pricier than mine. Next week she’s booked in for a pedicure. I never understood the reasoning behind a pedicure. Aren’t feet supposed to look ugly? I can’t remember the last time we were on vacation and I whispered to my wife, “Man, look at her! Doesn’t she have the most gorgeous feet you’ve ever seen? And just look at those nails. Sweet.”

Personally, I’ll just clip my toenails before we go and that’ll be good enough for me.

I don’t think my wife fully appreciates how much of a “low maintenance” guy she married.

What a lucky woman!
