Saskatoon man dead after four-vehicle crash in southern Alberta

Taber RCMP are reporting 4 people have died in a two-vehicle accident between a truck and a van on Highway 36 south of Secondary Highway 875.

A 31 year old Saskatoon man who was driving the pickup truck died in the accident, along with the driver of the van, a 26 year old man from Camrose, Alberta. Two passengers in the van, a 25 year old man from Edmonton and a 29 year old man from Medicine Hat, also died.

The six other passengers of the van were transported to hospital. RCMP say 2 sustained life-threatening injuries, 1 is in serious condition and the other 3 have non-life-threatening injuries.

Taber RCMP responded to the collision around  7:15 Friday morning. Police say the southbound pickup truck collided with a northbound passenger van. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. The names of the deceased will not be released.
