Companies fined for separate workplace incidents in Saskatchewan

Two separate injuries have resulted in fines for two different companies conducting work in Saskatchewan.

Trinidad Drilling out of Calgary pleaded guilty to occupational health and safety charges after an incident near Torquay in 2017.

An employee was injured after a pressurized hose hit a rotating pipe.

The company received $280,000 in fines.

Meanwhile Regina-based Thunder Creek Pork Ltd. was fined after a worker fell from a trailer at a worksite in Moose Jaw in the summer of 2018.

The company was fined more than $42,000 along with a $17,000 surcharge.
