Regina police deploy taser during domestic disturbance arrest

The Regina Police Service says their officers used a conducted energy weapon, most commonly known as a taser, on Friday after receiving a call of a domestic disturbance.

Police arrived to the 1400 block of Retallack Street where they located what they described as an “aggressive and violent” 53-year-old man.

In the report, officers say they feared the possibility of death or grievous bodily harm, which prompted them to utilize a taser.
