A 29 year-old man from the Thunderchild First Nation was found dead in an open field on the first nation.

Turtleford RCMP discovered the body on Sunday night and requested the services of the Coroner as well as additional RCMP resources, including the North Battleford Forensic Identification Services unit.

The man has been identified, but his name will not be released. His next of kin have been notified.

An autopsy is set to take place in Saskatoon this week.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Turtleford RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
