Saskatchewan farmers welcome the removal of barricades on the CN Rail link to the grain port of Prince Rupert, B.C.
Anti-pipeline protesters removed the week-long blockade late Thursday after receiving government promises of discussion on the issue.
SaskWheat chair Brett Halstead is hoping grain shipments can resume quickly after being halted since last Saturday.
He says the barricade has delayed farm grain deliveries.
The dispute shut-down an estimated 30 percent of west coast grain shipments.
As of Sunday, 39 grain ships were waiting at Vancouver and another 8 at Prince Rupert.
