Two Regina men charged after discovery of stolen truck

Regina Police have charged two Regina men after finding a stolen truck and a bag containing ammunition early Monday morning.

At around 3:20 a.m., police found two men in a stolen Dodge Truck on 3rd Avenue and Rae Street.

Officers noticed the truck was reported stolen on Saturday and the license plate on the vehicle was reported stolen on Sunday in a separate incident.

Police approached the vehicle parked in an alley off of the 800 block of Elphinstone Street and arrested 23-year-old Darren McNab and 28-year-old Justin Huber. A search of the truck revealed a backpack with firearm ammunition and other stolen property.

McNab has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.

Huber faces possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Both suspects were in provincial court on Monday morning.
