Youths arrested in connection to break and enter

Two young males aged 12 and 15 are facing charges in connection to a break and enter of an auto sales business in Regina.

In the incident, another 15-year-old male, who is also a suspect, suffered a laceration that could’ve been fatal if he was not found by police.

On Thursday morning around 5:00 am, police responded to an alarm at a business on the 1000 block of 8th Avenue.

When police arrived, they found no one in the building, but noticed broken glass on the ground had blood on it. After further investigation, they found a male bleeding profusely on the 1300 block of Wallace Street.

The teen was taken to hospital by EMS.

Further investigation led to the arrest of a 15-year-old male, and a 12-year-old male later that day. The youths were immediately charged.

Neither suspect can be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The 15-year-old is charged with Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence. He was released on an understanding in Youth court on April 6th.

The 12-year-old is charged with Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, and Uttering Threats. The 12-year-old appeared in Youth Court yesterday morning.
