Canora RCMP have charged a 52 year-old man in connection to an assault, as well as a break an enter in the community that took place Sunday.

Just before 7:00 PM Sunday evening, RCMP responded to the scene where a man reportedly broke into a home and assaulted a woman. The victim was able to fight the man off and called 911.

The suspect was known to the victim, and was later arrested by police.

52 year-old Jason Lubda faces five charges, including break and enter, and assault.

Lubda appears in court Tuesday morning in Yorkton.
