Pats conclude busy weekend with overtime win over Brandon

Austin Pratt’s 19th goal of the season was the overtime winner for the Regina Pats, who topped the Brandon Wheat Kings 4-3 Sunday afternoon at the Brandt Centre to conclude a three in three weekend.

Jake Johnson also scored his first career WHL goal in the second period.

Pats Head Coach Dave Struch said he was happy with his teams effort all weekend long.

“It was remarkable, the way they played these last three games,” Struch said. “They come to play, our leaders are dong a great job leading and our young guys have come a long ways in their development,” he added.

The win also means the Pats have eclipsed last year’s total with 11 games left in the season.

The Pats (20-31-4-2) next action will be Friday night when they play host to the Medicine Hat Tigers.
