Kindersley woman charged with murder in relation to 2018 death of infant daughter

A 28-year-old Kindersley woman has been charged with second degree murder in relation to the September 2018 death of her infant child.

On September 27th 2018, police were called to a home after a one month old baby girl was said to have suffered a cardiac arrest event, life saving efforts were made by responding EMS and doctors at the local hospital, but they were not successful and the infant was pronounced deceased.

An autopsy was conducted to determine the cause of death of the child.

Information obtained during the autopsy lead investigators to believe the death was suspicious in nature.

The infant’s mother, 28-year-old Teenie Rose Steer, has been charged with second degree murder.

Steer will make her first court appearance Thursday in Rosetown.
