The Kindersley woman facing a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the death of her one-year-old infant in 2018 made a brief court appearance in Rosetown on Thursday.

27-year-old Teenie Steer was remanded in custody until her next court appearance on March 12.

Steer was arrested and charged on Tuesday with the death that happened in September 2018.

RCMP had been called to a home after getting a report of a baby in distress.   The baby was taken to hospital where it was pronounced dead.

An autopsy revealed the death was suspicious.
