(Jamie) The Daily Blog

Writing a daily blog isn’t always the easiest part of my day.

Sometimes I’ll sit down and know exactly to what I’m going to blog about, while other times I’ll sit for 10 minutes trying to come up with something. Sometimes I’ll think I’ve written a pretty good blog, while other times I’ll cringe as I’m about to hit the “publish” button. I try to make whatever I blog about interesting to whomever reads it, but it doesn’t always happen that way.

There’s no right or wrong way to write one. Everyone finds different things to blog about. I try to blog about things that happen in my everyday life. Sometimes they’re light, sometimes they’re a bit more serious, and most times they focus on everything from lousy drivers and rude people, to lousy customer service and stuff that goes on in my own backyard. Sometimes I just like to blow off some steam.

Co-workers will tell me about something that happened to them and the first thing out of my mouth is, “Hey, that would make a great blog!”

Blog is such an odd word. It wasn’t a part of our vernacular when I was growing up. It wasn’t even a word until the late 90’s! It sounds more like the name of a caveman who would walk around with a club in his hand looking for a small dinosaur he could club over the head and take home to the family for supper 65 million years ago. I can hear his wife now, “Blog, you’d better wash up for supper. The stegosaurus stew is almost ready.”

Well, there you go. There’s my blog for the day and as you can probably tell, I had no idea what I was going to blog about when I sat in front of my computer 20 minutes ago.
