Snow to blanket central Saskatchewan

Travelers heading north in the province will encounter heavy snowfall today.

Environment Canada says that areas around Saskatoon and Prince Albert can expect 10-20 cm of snow today.

The heavy snow will stretch from Saskatoon to La Ronge and across the province from the Alberta border to the Manitoba border.

Regina is expected to receive very minimal snowfall, only getting about 1-2 cm. However, there is a chance of freezing rain in the forecast so that may make travel difficult Sunday morning.

If you are travelling to the affected areas, be sure to be aware of highway conditions.
