It was a busy Saturday for Regina Police, resulting in the arrests of 7 people.

Police first investigated an allegation of a serious domestic assault on the 5100 block of Sherwood Drive. Emergency services teams like Crisis Negotiators and the S.W.A.T team were deployed.

One person was arrested without any injury, Charges are expected to be laid.

Then later in the day, RPS conducted another investigation on the 1000 block of Wascana Street. S.W.A.T. was once again deployed.

The investigation led to the arrests of six people, and the seizure of numerous firearms and drugs.

There will be charges laid against the suspects, details on what they may be have not been released.
