Five vehicles involved in Victoria Avenue accident

Westbound traffic on Victoria Avenue was delayed for a bit on Tuesday morning after a five-car multi-vehicle accident.

Regina Police received a call on the incident at around 9:40 a.m. Police, EMS and fire crews were dispatched to Victoria Avenue near Edgar Street.

Police learned that a vehicle had stopped to avoid hitting a pedestrian, which created a chain reaction of vehicles hitting each other.

One vehicle moved out of the driving lane and sideswiped another vehicle in an attempt to avoid the collision.

RPS say one person went to hospital due to unrelated health issues. No major injuries have been reported at this time.
