Changes coming to Robyn Silvernagle’s rink

When the 2020-21 curling season begins, the Robyn Silvernagle rink will look to win a third straight provincial women’s title with a new look.

On Wednesday afternoon, the team went to their Facebook page to announce third Stefanie Lawton and lead Kara Thevenot are leaving.  Lawton is stepping back to concentrate on family while Thevenot has decided to explore other opportunities leaving Silvernagle and second Jessie Hunkin as the only team members.

“We want to wish Stefanie and Kara all the best in the future and we can’t thank them enough for the two wonderful years we’ve had together!” the team said. “Stay tuned for news of the new look Team Silvernagle!”

Silvernagle and crew are coming off their second straight appearance at the Scotties where they landed in the championship pool in Moose Jaw much to the delight of the hometown fans, but they could not get into the playoffs.
