The covid-19 outbreak dominated debate in Saskatchewan legislature Monday.

NDP leader Ryan Meili called on the Moe government to shelve the budget scheduled for Wednesday and develop a whole new plan to battle the coronavirus outbreak.

Meili called on the SaskParty government to follow Ontario and the federal government’s lead and postpone Wednesday’s budget.

But Premier Scott Moe says the budget will go ahead on Wednesday as planned to ensure expanded funding for health care and economic recovery from the coronavirus.
