Debate in the Saskatchewan legislature centred on the covid-19 outbreak for the second day Tuesday.
NDP leader Ryan Meili called for a provincial aid package to support struggling families, small businesses and the health care system.
He says the time to act is now as the economy scales back.
Premier Scott Moe says a scaled back budget will be released Wednesday.
He says the budget estimates will be released to show additional funding for hospitals, schools and highways.
He adds a federal aid package is expected Wednesday and the province wants to dovetail its financial support with the federal aid.
