Police investigating Saturday night theft on Victoria Avenue

Regina Police have made an arrest in connection to a weapons-related theft that took place at the corner of Wallace Street and Victoria Avenue early Saturday morning.

Police were dispatched to the scene at around 4:30 AM, where a man was approached by three suspects, one woman and two men. Both male suspects pulled out a bladed weapon and threatened the victim with it.

The victim attempted to flee the scene but fell, dropping his belongings. The suspects stole the belongings and fled the scene.

Police were able to located the three suspects. All but a 15 year-old boy were able to flee police. The suspect, who can’t be named, is charged with robbery, obstructing a police officer and failure to comply with a probation order.

Police are still investigating, anyone with information is asked to contact police or crime stoppers.
