(Jamie) Self Isolation And “To Do” Lists…A Good Combination

Yesterday after work I had a few things on my “to do” list that I wanted to get done. This wasn’t a list my wife made up, it was actually mine and mine alone. First up was our washing machine.

There didn’t seem to be any water getting into the machine. It worked fine until one day until it suddenly didn’t. Seeing as I’m certainly no appliance repair man I went to Google and started troubleshooting. It didn’t take long to solve the problem. The hose from the cold water supply to the back of the washing machine was plugged. It was that simple! After attaching a new hose the machine was up and running again. Pretty simple fix for a guy who knew nothing about washing machines going in. Thank you Google!

After that it was time to grab a plastic bag and start picking up some doggie doo. Fortunately with the winter we had I was able to keep up in that department quite easily. This was the stuff that was covered up after the first snow and was just making itself visible now with the warm weather. I grabbed one plastic bag, but I ended up needing two. Scratch job #2 off the list.

After that it was time to set up the table and chairs on the deck. Although I got the umbrella set up, I didn’t put the cushions on the chairs yet. I’m sure we’ll get some more precipitation before we actually get to plunk our rear ends down and enjoy a warm sunny afternoon. Might as well leave those nice and dry until we actually need them.

I was proud of myself for actually completing the items on my list yesterday. I’m sure my wife will have another list or two made up for me before we make it out of self isolation down the road.

I have noticed that we do have a lot of leaves on our front lawn that need to be raked up.

Uh oh.
