NDP leader Ryan Meili feels stronger measures and accountability on COVID-19 are needed by SK government

Saskatchewan’s NDP leader says more transparency and aggressive action is needed by the government to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Ryan Meili makes the statement after a CBC report which claims there has been serious gaps in the provincial government’s response to the virus.

Meili says there are three things the province must do immediately.

They are expanded emergency measures including reducing the number of people in gatherings from 25 to 5 which is something the City of Regina wants, expanded testing to include people experiencing symptoms without recent travel and more public information including a full picture of what medical needed equipment is needed and available,

Meili says people need clear information to understand the threat of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan so that spread can be prevented and lives can be saved.
