RCMP in Prince Albert are on the scene of a fatal collision on Highway #2 just north of White Star.

The highway is closed in both directions. RCMP say it will re-open sometime Thursday night.

Investigation has indicated one vehicle was in the wrong lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. One person has been declared deceased, while another has been hospitalized.

RCMP is asking the public to avoid the area at this time.
