MJ Police respond to Saturday morning shooting

Early Saturday morning, Moose Jaw Police responded to a report of a shooting on 9th Avenue NE.

Once on scene, police found a man who had been shot in the lower extremities, he was later transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were able to determine that several people broke into the home armed with weapon and a gun. They later assaulted and shot the victim.

Police were able to locate a suspect who was arrested later on in the day without incident.

He is set to appear in court on March 30th, facing charges of attempted murder, break and enter, assault with a weapon, and several firearm offences.

The investigation is ongoing.
