Police in Prince Albert are investigating a suspected triple murder after three people, including a 7-year-old boy, were found dead inside a home on Sunday night.

Officers say a 56-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were also located deceased inside the home.

Meanwhile a 5-year-old girl is in an Edmonton hospital in critical condition.

Prince Albert’s police chief spoke with the media on Monday and did not say if they are looking for a suspect or if that person was dead or alive.

Investigators say they do not believe this was a random incident, adding there is no increased risk to public safety.
