Unifor recommends 594 members decline FCL’s “final offer”

Unifor is announcing their local 594 members will be unable to accept Federated Co-op’s final offer.

The union says this is FCL’s second offer in five days that they’ve called a final offer, adding the bargaining committee is recommending members reject it when the final vote is forced by the Saskatchewan labour board.

Unifor national president Jerry Dias says they stand by the recommendations made by the special mediators’ who were assigned by Premier Scott Moe, adding he believes they represent the best path forward for both the workers and the company.

Co-op announced yesterday they will be asking the Labour Relations board to oversee a final offer vote on their latest offer.
