Trudeau says Ottawa will announce final details of wage subsidy program Wednesday afternoon

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says details on the federal governments employee wage package, which will cover 75% of employees wages will be announced this afternoon.

During his daily COVID-19 update in Ottawa, he once again stated all businesses will be eligible.

“What I can say now is that it’s going to be available for businesses big and small,” Trudeau reiterated Wednesday morning. “This is for businesses that are not publicly funded and have seen a 30 percent or more decline in gross revenues, that includes everything from bars and restaurants to charities and non-profits,” Trudeau added

People not getting help from their employer, and who qualify, will be able to access the Canada Emergency Response Benefit starting April 6th.
