Response is already pouring in to the Crisis Response Fund announced by Saskatchewan’s Food Banks last week.
On Sunday, the Ina Lou and Wayne Brownlee Family Foundation announced it will be matching donations of up to $100,000 this week (April 6th – 12th).
For example, a personal $50 or $100 donation gets doubled to $100 or $200.
A company gift of $5,000 gets doubled to $10,000.
Donations can be made at SKfoodbanks.ca.
An estimated 40,000 people use the 32 food banks across the province, with that number expected to grow during economic uncertainty due to COVID-19.
