Regina Police issue first COVID-19 public health order violation ticket

Regina Police have issued their first ticket for violating the public health order.

Police say a 23 year-old woman was issued a $2,800 ticket Monday for not complying to 14 day mandatory self isolation.

The public health order was issued on March 26th, and includes a 10 person limit of gatherings, as well as 14 day self isolation for those that have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or are known to come into contact with someone who has the virus.

RPS continues to encourage people to report alleged violations to the public health order by calling 1-855-559-5502.
