The WCBL season is still just under two months away, but planning for a delayed season due to COVID-19 is underway.
Although there is no final decision at this time the leagues board of governors have set numerous dates for when decisions will need to be made.
For a full season to occur, May 2nd will be the final date for a go ahead to take place.
The league says there is also provisions of a shortened season that would begin around Fathers Day or Canada Day.
Governors also agreed that if by early June, the health and safety risk is still to great to determine a starting point, the 2020 season would be cancelled.

After a Board of Governors meeting this afternoon, we have slated the following dates as benchmarks for the format of our 2020 season, subject to any changes that may come.

Last year the Regina Red Sox fell in the league final to the Okotoks Dawgs.
