Financial worries are the top agriculture issue in APAS farm survey on the impact of COVID-19

An APAS COVID-19 farm impact survey shows finances are the key worry among Saskatchewan farmers this spring.

President Todd Lewis says farmers are worried about lower prices and reduced cash flow as well as availability of farm inputs at seeding.

He says farmers have faced grain movement difficulties and other concerns during the past 2 years, and the covid-19 pandemic is adding to those worries.

The survey was completed this past week by 250 farmers and Lewis is asking farmers to participate weekly because of changing issues.
