Queen City Pride postpones festival until September

The Queen City Pride Festival has postponed their annual festival to September.

The annual pride celebration was originally scheduled for mid June, but will be postponing the event due to COVID-19.

In a news release, Regina Pride Co-Chair Dan Shier says this decision was necessary for everyone’s well-being, and that people need to support each other by remaining physically distancing.

Queen City Pride is the latest in over 250 pride celebrations across North America to be cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
