“I wake up each and every morning waiting for the latest numbers to come in just praying that there isn’t a death today.”
That is what Premier Scott Moe said Wednesday afternoon as he spoke about the projections released by the Saskatchewan Health Authority on how COVID19 could impact Saskatchewan when it comes to deaths and those who could end up contracting the virus that has shut the province, the country and the world down.
Moe used his time Wednesday during the government’s daily briefing to give his thoughts on the projections and to make a challenge to the Saskatchewan Health Authority when it comes to testing. He wants the amount of tests to reach 1,000 per day as soon as possible with that number increasing to 1,500 by the end of April. Moe says while Saskatchewan people should be proud of themselves for doing what they can to “flatten the curve”, the reality is we are still several weeks away from even considering relaxing some of the restrictions we have been under for the past few weeks.
