Riders ink former Ohio State defensive back to contract

The Riders added some secondary depth on Wednesday by signing defensive back Damon Webb to a contract.

Webb, who is 5’11 and weighs 195 pounds, played four pre-season games for the Tennessee Titans in 2018 after signing as an undrafted free agent.

Before turning pro, Webb played 35 games for the Ohio State Buckeyes where he had six interceptions–five in his senior season, while recording 131 tackles.  He was named the defensive MVP of the 2017 Cotton Bowl when the Buckeyes defeated USC 24-7.  In that game, he recovered a fumble on the third play from scrimmage and scored a touchdown when he intercepted now New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold and returned it 23 yards.
