This morning on my way to work I actually saw 3 people walking together along 4th Avenue. A couple of months ago I wouldn’t have batted an eye, but now I look on with disbelief! I’ve barely seen that many people in total during my drives into work in the last month and a half or so. Strange times we live in right now.

For the fun of it I thought I’d roll my window down and yell out something about social distancing. I had my window rolled down, but then re-thought my idea and decided to keep my mouth shut. It was a good thing I did, because I ran into a red light about half a block down at Elphinstone Street. As I was waiting for the light to turn green those 3 people walked by on the sidewalk right beside my vehicle.

I thought to myself, “Good thing you didn’t open your trap, Lewis.”

Never yell at people while you’re driving by unless you can make a clean getaway. That’s my lesson for today.
