Regina man arrested after weapons incident Thursday night

A Regina man is facing several weapons charges after an incident Thursday night.

At approximately 7:30 pm. Regina Police were responded to a call of gunshots on the 1600 of Rae Street.

Police arrested a man on the 2300 block of Dewdney Avenue, who was in possession of a firearm.

Police discovered that two gun shots were fired into the air and no one was injured as a result.

24-year-old Will Desjarlais is facing several charges including the unauthorized possession of a firearm, discharge of a firearm in a reckless manner, and failure to comply with probation.

Desjarlais made his first court appearance Friday afternoon.
