Regina Police have made three arrests in connection to a pair of vehicle thefts that took place in Regina since Tuesday afternoon.
Over the noon hour on Tuesday, RPS located a vehicle that was previously reported stolen to Moose Jaw Police. Officers were able to use a spike belt on 6th avenue, but the driver continued at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was later abandoned at the corner of McIntosh street and 2nd avenue, and police were able to find both suspects fleeing on foot.
36 year-old Tyler Figley and 37 year-old Celeste Whitehawk are facing charges, including possession of property obtained by crime over five-thousand dollars.
Meanwhile, another stolen vehicle required police to deploy two spike belts early Wednesday morning.
That vehicle was eventually abandoned on the 1300 block of Queen Street, where a 21 year-old suspect was found and arrested, with a quantity of drugs being found.
James Blacksioux of Regina faces five charges, including two counts of possession of a scheduled substance and theft of a motor vehicle.
