For the last few weeks I’ve been driving around in a vehicle that looks like it hasn’t been cared for in a long time, so yesterday I decided to do something about it. It was time for a thorough cleaning. First stop, the car wash.
Seeing as I’ve been able to take advantage of underground parking for the last month or so, I had a lot of parking change that had sitting in a cup in my console just waiting to be spent. I figured the car wash was as good a place as any to blow those loonies and toonies. Plus, social distancing certainly wouldn’t be a problem. If anyone got too close I’d give that person a blast of hot soapy water!
Apparently, I wasn’t the only person in the city with that idea. The car wash was quite busy, although I was still able to find a bay that wasn’t being used. Talk about your win-win situation. Lots of change, plus my own bay. I felt like I’d just won the lottery!
After I got home I pulled out the vacuum cleaner, some Windex, and a couple of old rags and got down to business. In no time at all I had a vehicle that looked like new.
After that, all I had to do was wait for my wife to come home and utter those words that would send me right back to the car wash, and she didn’t disappoint. When she rolled through the door the first thing she said was, “I wish my vehicle was that clean.” I knew it!
Looks like I’ll be heading back to the car wash this weekend.
It’s a good thing I still have a lot of change left!
