A civilian employee at the La Loche RCMP detachment has tested positive for COVID-19.

The diagnosis was made official Thursday after the member went for a test on Monday.

The employee will continue following direction from the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Two other civilian members and four officers have been ordered to self-isolate while they wait for testing.

While the seven members self-isolate, RCMP will be bringing in additional resources to ensure service for the La Loche area remains similar.

RCMP also say they are taking steps such as disinfecting vehicles and La Loche department.
