Highway 10 closed at 56 junction after serious single vehicle accident

UPDATE – RCMP say Highway 10 was closed at the Highway 56 junction just east of Fort Qu’Appelle after a serious single motor vehicle accident.

In a news release sent out late Sunday night, police said those who pass the area will see an alternate route set up for the time being.

According to the Highway Hotline the area has been re-opened to traffic.

Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP says a halfton truck collided with the guard rail on a bridge, which resulted in the truck to roll. A 31 year-old man was ejected from the vehicle, and a passing motorist ran over the man, who was lying on the highway.

The victim is in stable, but in critical condition. The passing motorist was not hurt in the incident.

The collision is still being investigated.
