Two Regina teens facing charges after assault in Hillsdale neighborhood

Regina Police have charged a 16 year-old boy and 15 year-old girl in connection to an assault that took place in the Hillsdale neighbourhood from Monday afternoon.

Police were called to the area of Jubilee Avenue and Turgeon Crescent just before 4:00 PM. A man and a woman were assaulted and threatened with a knife by the two suspects. No one was seriously injured in the incident.

The suspects both ran toward McNab Crescent before police arrived. A Canine officer was able to locate both suspects.

Both suspects can’t be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The 15 year-old girl is being charged with assault, and will appear in court on July 13.

Meanwhile, the 16 year-old boy is facing six charges: three counts of uttering threats, two counts of assault with a weapon, and one count of breach of undertaking. He appeared in court Tuesday morning.
