Regina Police is asking the public for help in finding bronze commemorative plaques that have been stolen in the city.
Police say the first of 12 such thefts was reported in late February from the 2400 block of Elphinstone street. It is believed that parks, churches and heritages sites in the city are being targeted as there are no crowds of people near them at this time.
It is possible that thieves are stealing plaques for their scrap metal value. Police say the theft of these plaques may go unnoticed for days.
If you have any information on these thefts, you are encouraged to contact Regina Police or Crime Stoppers.
