Saskatchewan farmers have a new option to buy hail insurance on the internet.

Co-op Hail insurance is launching a new online direct hail insurance program.

CEO Murray Bantle says the buy direct hail insurance program enables farmers to save money.

Bantle says farmers will save between seven and eight percent on hail insurance by going on-line.

Bantle says farmers will save money through by-passing the use of hail insurance agents but he still encourages farmers to use agents.
