Battlefords RCMP say an investigation is underway after several large grass fires were set Thursday night on the Sweetgrass First First Nation.

Crews were called to the scene around 10:00p.m., a number of residences had to be evacuated.

Witnesses say an ATV was found where the fires were allegedly set.

Police say no homes were lost in the fires.

Battlefords RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
