Regina police say arson may be behind a fire that destroyed the home of the Regina Elks Club on the 4000 block of 1st Avenue North.
The department’s arson investigator is working with the fire department on the case with a request being made for information from anyone who may be able to shed light on what exactly happened.
Fire crews were called to the building early in the morning of May 3 to see it already in flames upon arrival.
The hall, which had been home to the Elks since 1996 and was used for things like fundraisers and wedding receptions, had many pieces of memorabilia inside detailing the history of the club in Regina that were destroyed.
