Saskatchewan government lifts prescription drug supply limits

The provincial government is lifting the supply limits on prescription drugs that were implemented as part of the COVID-19 pandemic response in March.

Saskatchewan residents will now be able to fill their prescriptions as they did before the measures were introduced on March 18th except when a specific drug remains in short supply.

According to the province, 87% of residents were able to fill their prescriptions for a 34 day supply while the limits were in place.

Some of the drugs the province says may still be in short supply include sedatives and antibiotics.
