RCMP in Melfort have charged a man in relation to a dangerous driving incident that took place Wednesday morning.

At about 8:30, RCMP attempted to conduct a traffic stop after a vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed down Broadway Avenue North.

The vehicle did not stop, and during a pursuit, the suspect vehicle collided with a Combined Traffic Services vehicle. The pursuit was discontinued due to public safety.

Later on, the suspect vehicle was found abandoned in the RM of Willow Creek, and the suspect was found a short time later.

45 year-old Gordon Webb faces four charges, including flight from police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
