A Regina man faces weapon and drug possession charges after police were dispatched to the 1500 block of McTavish Street Saturday afternoon.

The original report indicated a man was slumped over the wheel inside of a vehicle. Upon arrival, police discovered drug paraphernalia that was visible inside of the vehicle.

The man was arrested by police, and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a firearm, ammunition, and a quantity of undisclosed drugs.

26 year-old Joshua Kohl faces seven charges, including possession of a weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a scheduled substance.

Kohl will appear in court on these charges July 21.
